Ingrown toenail surgery

Painful problems with in-growing, involute (nail curves into the skin of the toe), thickened or fungal nails may require permanent removal of a section or all of the nail. This procedure is very successful for treating recurring or chronic ingrown toenails.

Biomechanical assessment

Many foot problems are the result of a faulty relationship between the bones and muscles of the foot. Misalignment can result in a number of problems, commonly flat feet; overpronation; persistent ankle sprains; bunions, corns and calluses; and stress and pain in your back, neck, hip and knees. A biomechanical assessment is the starting point for understanding the cause of your problem, what treatment is needed and whether further investigations are necessary. Our assessment covers:

•  Medical and surgical history taking
•  Orthopaedic assessment of the lower limb
•  Functional assessment
•  Observational gait analysis
•  Footwear advice
•  Appropriate treatment plan which may include exercise or insole/orthotic prescription

Toenail reconstruction

Using the Wilde-Pedique nail gel system, we will:
•  Disguise fungal nails,
•  Reconstruct broken or damaged nails,
•  Restore the toenail partially or completely

This provides an attractive cosmetic result. It is suitable for diabetics, total nail prosthesis, sports persons and for cosmetic appearance. We can restore the toenail partially or completely.
